Join the Alexa LLM Inference, Capacity, & Efficiency (ALICE) team as a Senior Software Development Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of large language model inference systems for millions of Alexa users.

This is an opportunity to be a founding technical leader in our new India team, driving architectural decisions and engineering excellence for one of Amazon's critical AI services. We focus on optimizing infrastructure efficiency, cost, and capacity to deliver exceptional customer experiences at scale.

Lead architectural decisions for Alexa's LLM inference services and related infrastructure. Design and implement robust, scalable, and highly available systems for LLM inference. Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical design reviews, and establish coding standards. Balance immediate team needs with long-term business goals, prioritizing performance, cost, and reliability. Collaborate with global ALICE teams and partner teams across Alexa and AGI. Ensure operational excellence for critical production services, including on-call responsibilities and incident management. Influence the overall ALICE software architecture and contribute to strategic technical roadmaps.

Possess 6+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships. Demonstrate 5+ years of proficiency in modern programming languages like Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design. Have 5+ years of experience in leading the design or architecture of complex systems, focusing on patterns, reliability, and scaling. Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing complex software systems. Proven track record of building and successfully delivering complex software systems to customers. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
