Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Tech to lead the supply chain systems that ensure medications reach patients efficiently. This role focuses on defining product strategy and enhancing performance for core buying and inventory planning systems. You will tackle challenges related to expiry, regulatory constraints, and optimal stock levels across the network, leveraging demand forecasts to make intelligent purchasing and inventory decisions. The unique nature of pharmacy supply chains, driven by prescriptions, product expiry, and varying state regulations, presents complex operational hurdles that require innovative solutions.
Define the product vision and multi-year roadmap for critical pharmacy supply chain systems, including procurement, inventory placement, and capacity planning. Translate intricate supply chain and healthcare constraints, such as product expiry and state-specific regulations, into actionable product requirements for engineering teams. Design and oversee the comprehensive metrics framework to monitor pharmacy supply chain health within your domain. Collaborate effectively with Operations, Compliance, Vendor Management, Fulfillment, and Finance teams to deliver impactful solutions and drive continuous improvement. Partner with Applied Scientists and ML Engineers to establish success criteria for forecasting models, optimization algorithms, and automated decision-making systems. Influence outcomes across diverse teams and organizations through effective collaboration and leadership in a matrixed environment.
A Bachelor's degree in an engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, or information systems field is required. Demonstrated experience in owning and driving product strategy and definition. Proven ability to contribute to technical discussions regarding technology decisions and strategy for a product. Experience in managing technical products or online services. Track record of representing and advocating for a wide range of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning. A Master's degree in a quantitative or technical field, such as computer science, engineering, or statistics, is preferred. Experience within healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated supply chains is advantageous. Familiarity with ML/AI product management, including defining model success criteria, managing model lifecycles, and A/B testing ML systems, is a plus.
