As an Innovative Data Platform Solution Engineer, you will guide enterprises in maximizing the potential of Microsoft's cloud database and analytics stack. Engage directly with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate the Fabric Data Platform, including Azure Databases and Analytics, through hands-on Proofs of Concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops. You will foster deep business acumen, refine technical skills, and excel in solution design and deployment.

Your role involves advising customers on secure, scalable solution designs, influencing technical decisions, and speeding up database and analytics migration processes. Ultimately, you will help clients modernize their data platforms and realize the full value of Microsoft's offerings. We are looking for experienced professionals with a minimum of 5 years in technical pre-sales or consulting. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, coupled with 4+ years of relevant experience, is acceptable. A Master's degree in a similar field, with 3+ years of experience, also meets the criteria, as does equivalent experience.

Essential expertise includes Azure Databases (SQL DB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL) for modernization and AI application development, alongside Azure Analytics (Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview) and competitors (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake). Proficiency in data warehousing, data lakes, big data, real-time intelligence, and BI reporting with integrated data security and governance is crucial. Demonstrated ability to lead technical engagements like hackathons, PoCs, and MVPs that result in production-scale outcomes is required. Familiarity with on-prem EDW (Teradata, Netezza, Exadata), Hadoop, and BI solutions is also highly valued.
