As a leader within ISD, you will guide your team to address complex customer challenges, leveraging deep technical expertise and industry insights. This role is instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring our solutions meet the unique and evolving needs of our clients.
Lead and empower your team through modeling, coaching, and care, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. Understand and propagate customer and partner technical environments, aligning architecture and transformation solutions with business goals. Drive advocacy by sharing insights with Product Engineering teams and managing escalations effectively. Guide teams in designing and deploying scalable architecture solutions, managing fiscal responsibilities, and ensuring project profitability. Document architectures, communicate value propositions, and facilitate business-value discussions focusing on ROI and cost savings.
Collaborate with project managers and account teams to identify and mitigate risks. Contribute to practice development by generating new intellectual property and driving the reuse of existing assets. Build a strong network of internal and external relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. Foster thought leadership by encouraging community sharing, participating in external events, and mentoring colleagues. Embody Microsoft's culture and values in all interactions.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 8+ years of experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, or a specific technology domain (e.g., Security) is required. Alternatively, a Master's degree in a similar field with 6+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience, is acceptable.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 8+ years of experience. Additional preferred experience includes 6+ years in technical sales, 6+ years in project management, 2+ years managing multiple projects or portfolios, 1+ year leading multidisciplinary teams, and 3+ years in people management, specifically with consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, or technical architect managers. Professional certifications in a relevant domain are also advantageous.
