Spearhead the technical vision for transforming Search into an inherently multimodal platform, focusing on AI Mode (AIM) and AI Overviews (AIO) orchestration.

Drive the team's adoption of agent-driven architectures and spec-driven development, demonstrating fluency in AI tools.

Manage intricate integrations with internal infrastructure and product teams, as well as external AI partners.

Champion rigorous engineering standards, emphasizing system reliability, precise capacity planning, and latency optimization.

Lead, mentor, and sponsor a team of exceptional engineers, setting clear operational standards, supporting career advancement, and enhancing their technical visibility.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, coupled with 8 years of software development expertise in languages like C++, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

Possess 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, alongside 3 years of experience in software design and architecture.

Minimum of 3 years in people management and 2 years in a technical leadership capacity are essential. Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows is also required.

Preferred candidates will have a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, with 5 years of experience in complex organizations and a passion for technology, collaboration, and problem-solving.
