Lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers, conducting talent reviews, identifying growth opportunities, and cultivating a positive team culture.

Provide Staff-level technical leadership and decision-making to guide system architecture and design. Ensure prompt technical decisions and proactive risk management to empower engineers.

Collaborate closely with Product, Program, Payments Compliance, and Export Legal teams to develop new features, establish multi-year roadmaps, and enhance existing solutions.

Manage the Sanctions platform infrastructure, focusing on robustness, scalability, and reliability while addressing technical debt.

Partner with Product Managers to understand legal and compliance requirements for sanctions screening, delivering scalable and appropriate solutions.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, alongside 8 years of software development experience in languages like Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript.

Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership capacity and 2 years in people or team management.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in a technical field, experience with scalable product design for external clients, and expertise in large-scale backend server infrastructure. Proven ability to make Staff-level technical judgments for complex backend systems and experience in the compliance domain are highly valued. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
