As a hands-on Technical SME within OTU, you will drive software engineering learning initiatives. This includes designing, reviewing, and maintaining code samples, labs, and demos that reflect real-world engineering practices. You will contribute to AI-assisted coding enablement, developing guardrail-aligned examples, secure AI patterns, and practical workflows. Your role involves translating complex technical concepts into accessible learning content and partnering with instructional designers to ensure accuracy and scalability. Facilitate engaging hands-on training sessions, workshops, and live coding labs, continuously refining content based on feedback. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align learning materials with enterprise standards and stay ahead of modern engineering trends.
This role requires a full-time graduate degree or equivalent experience, coupled with over 7 years of professional software engineering expertise. Essential skills include modern development practices like cloud-native development, APIs, CI/CD, and automated testing within enterprise-scale environments. Experience supporting engineers during live labs, using LMS platforms for technical learning, and curating technical content is crucial. Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and staying current with evolving AI capabilities is also necessary. Demonstrated experience in facilitating technical training and exposure to major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are key. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are vital for working effectively across diverse technical and non-technical partners.
