Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of Mainframe applications utilizing COBOL, CICS, JCL, and X‑Gen within the COSMOS framework. Translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions for the Mainframe platform, supporting both online (CICS) and batch processing with a focus on high performance and reliability. Execute impact analysis, code modifications, unit testing, and provide production support for Mainframe applications, working extensively with COSMOS Server transactions. Debug and resolve complex production issues using REXX, Abend-AID, File-AID, and Mainframe utilities. Ensure compliance with coding standards, security guidelines, and audit requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and QA, and support release activities, technical documentation, and on-call production support for minimal downtime.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with over 5 years of extensive Mainframe development expertise. Solid proficiency in REXX scripting for automation and problem determination is essential. Demonstrated experience with COSMOS Mainframe applications, CICS, and X-gen, alongside strong application maintenance, enhancement, and production support skills. A robust understanding of Mainframe datasets, VSAM files, DB2, and batch/online processing architectures is necessary. Familiarity with Mainframe job scheduling, workload management, and tools like Endevor/Changeman, File-AID, Abend-AID, and SDSF is expected. Proven expertise in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and X‑Gen, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
