Join Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team, a pivotal force in shaping the future of data analytics. We are building the foundational data platform for the AI era, empowering a new generation of data-first applications and fostering a data-driven culture. The Fabric Data Integration team specifically focuses on creating next-generation services that efficiently move massive data volumes between diverse systems with minimal latency, all while providing a robust, data-centric orchestration platform.
This is an opportunity to work on advanced data movement and replication scenarios, maintaining user-friendly interfaces and delivering high-quality products at a rapid pace. We thrive on collaboration and embrace diverse perspectives to better serve our customers.
Architect, develop, and deploy cloud-scale products with a strong emphasis on efficiency, reliability, and security. You will build and maintain end-to-end build, test, and deployment pipelines, and manage large-scale Hadoop, Spark, and other clusters.
Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our products. You will be responsible for triaging issues, implementing solutions to restore service promptly, and performing root cause analysis and post-mortems. Owning components end-to-end, from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment, and ensuring high availability post-deployment, is a key aspect of this role.
We are seeking individuals with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with at least 4 years of technical engineering experience. Proficiency in coding languages such as C#, Java, React, or Python is essential. Prior experience in data integration, migrations, or ETL/ELT tooling is mandatory.
Additional qualifications include demonstrated experience in building cloud services with multi-tier architectures and strong software design and architecture skills. Experience working within the data domain, handling high volumes of data and API traffic with a focus on security, scalability, and performance, is highly preferred. A Master's Degree in a related field with equivalent experience is also considered.
