Join Microsoft's Azure Data team and drive the future of data analytics! This role is instrumental in building the core analytics experiences within Microsoft Fabric, a comprehensive end-to-end analytics platform. You'll contribute to a platform powering a new generation of data-first applications and fostering a data-driven culture.

Be part of the Data Engineering One Infra team, responsible for the robust infrastructure supporting Microsoft Fabric Spark, Azure Synapse Spark, and Cosmos Analytics. These services operate at an immense scale, processing millions of Spark jobs daily. Begin your journey by writing clean, extensible, and maintainable code, adhering to established patterns and best practices. You will assist in debugging, testing, and proactively identifying issues using tools like logs and telemetry, all under guidance.

Support the development and testing of design options, gaining foundational knowledge in system dependencies, performance, scalability, and security. Participate actively in code reviews to uphold quality, learn coding standards, and contribute to peer reviews.

Integrate AI tools responsibly across the development lifecycle and review AI-generated code changes. Uphold security best practices, including code invariants, testing, monitoring, and compliance efforts with direct supervision.

Collaborate with partner teams for seamless feature integration and end-to-end testing. Respond to customer needs, resolving service degradations, downtime, or interruptions.

We seek candidates with an Associate's Degree or Apprenticeship in Computer Science, or a related technical field, coupled with at least 6 months of proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

For those with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, proven coding experience in the aforementioned languages or equivalent experience is preferred. Candidates must be eligible to meet Microsoft's security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
