As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining robust software solutions. This position is part of the Mobile Threat Analysis Platform (MTAP) team, dedicated to safeguarding Android users from malware and privacy threats on the world's most popular computing platform. You will play a vital role in building the infrastructure that protects the Android ecosystem.

Design and implement advanced automated static program analysis frameworks at Google's scale. Develop and enhance secure, insightful code exploration tools for reverse engineering. Research and propose novel methodologies for detecting emerging malware and abusive applications through static analysis. Write, review, and maintain high-quality product and system development code. Participate in and lead design reviews, evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies. Provide constructive feedback on code developed by peers, ensuring adherence to best practices in style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency. Contribute to documentation and educational materials, adapting them based on product updates and user feedback. Address and resolve product or system issues by analyzing root causes and their impact on operations and quality.

A PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. Demonstrated experience in static program analysis, compilers, or security principles. Proven background in malware analysis, threat intelligence, or abuse detection. Exceptional engineering abilities are highly valued. While not strictly required, 2 years of experience in security and privacy domains is preferred.
