Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of software solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) hybrid connectivity products. Drive projects from inception to completion with autonomy.

Architect and implement highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems for hybrid cloud networking. Make informed technical decisions in complex situations and proactively identify areas for improvement or new tool development.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and other Networking teams within GCP. Contribute to team-level technical strategy and engage in broader engineering initiatives like interviewing and knowledge sharing. Ensure the operational health, monitoring, and on-call support for hybrid connectivity services, aiming to enhance system reliability and observability, potentially using AI/ML for advanced operational insights.

A PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

Possess experience in software development, particularly in areas such as large-scale distributed systems, AI/ML, networking, data storage, or security. Demonstrate expertise in the architecture or development of distributed systems, including proficiency in concurrency, multi-threading, or synchronization.

Solid understanding of algorithms, complexity analysis, and system design principles. Proficient in coding languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or Golang. Experience with C++/Go, architecting large-scale distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, synchronization, and networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP) are considered preferred qualifications. Strong analytical and debugging skills are essential.
