Specifically, this position is within the Payments team, focused on creating simple, seamless, and secure payment experiences. This includes consumer payment technologies and powering the financial transactions between Google and its users and businesses.

Develop high-quality product or system code for mobile applications.

Engage in and lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders, evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies.

Perform code reviews for other developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.

Contribute to and update existing documentation and educational materials, adapting them based on product changes and user feedback.

Analyze and resolve product or system issues, debugging and tracking them by understanding their root causes and impact on operations and quality.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Possess at least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.

Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in Android application development.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 2 years of experience in data structures and algorithms. Experience with mobile application development, particularly in Android/iOS, and developing accessible technologies is also advantageous.
