Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams across various locations, overseeing significant project budgets and the international deployment of large-scale initiatives.
Define and articulate team priorities that align with overarching organizational goals, ensuring strategy, processes, and decision-making are synchronized across teams.
Establish clear performance expectations for individuals, tailored to their roles and levels, and consistent with broader organizational objectives. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to discuss performance, facilitate development, and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Develop mid-term technical goals and roadmaps for your teams, adapting them to anticipate future requirements and infrastructure needs. Guide and review system designs within your area of responsibility, and contribute code to resolve complex problems.
Conduct code reviews for other engineers, offering feedback to uphold best practices in areas such as style guidelines, code integration, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates should possess 8 years of experience in software development, including 3 years focused on large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks. Experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture is also necessary.
Additionally, 3 years of experience in a technical leadership capacity and 2 years in a people management or team leadership role are essential.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 3 years of experience in a complex, matrixed organizational structure.
