As a Software Engineer on our Infrastructure team, you will be instrumental in maintaining the stability and performance of our distributed microservices platform, closely integrated with Kubernetes and cloud providers like GCP and AWS.

Key responsibilities include managing Kubernetes workloads using GitOps (ArgoCD), deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting application synchronization and rollouts. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex Kubernetes cluster issues, managing CDN and edge infrastructure for optimal performance, and automating infrastructure lifecycle operations.

Furthermore, you will own our observability stack, including Grafana and New Relic, to enhance monitoring, alerting, and distributed tracing. Participating in on-call rotations and performing root cause analysis for incidents will be critical. You'll also support the AI agent infrastructure, handling job scheduling, environment provisioning, and cost attribution, while developing Kubernetes controllers to enhance agent orchestration.

Collaboration with product and backend teams to ensure platform scalability and reliability is essential, alongside building internal tools and automating workflows to boost team productivity. Staying current with Kubernetes and cloud-native best practices is a must.

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in software or platform engineering for production systems. Proficiency in Go or Python is essential, with the ability to write production-ready code in at least one language daily.

Hands-on experience building and deploying services on Kubernetes, beyond just YAML configurations, is crucial. Familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux is also required.

A strong foundation in systems fundamentals, including networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancing, DNS, TLS) and Linux/OS concepts (process management, filesystem, memory, systemd), is expected. You should be comfortable using debugging tools like strace and tcpdump.

Experience with data and messaging infrastructure is important, including relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis), caching systems (Redis, Memcached), and message queues/streaming platforms (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ). Strong SQL skills for operational queries are also necessary.

Proficiency within the CNCF ecosystem (Helm, Kustomize, cert-manager) and experience with at least one observability stack (Grafana/Prometheus/Loki, New Relic, Datadog) are key. Familiarity with GCP and/or AWS, including managed Kubernetes services, networking, IAM, and storage, is required. Experience with CDN/edge platforms like Cloudflare is also a plus.

While not mandatory, experience building Kubernetes Operators, tuning Kubernetes core components, familiarity with AI/LLM infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi), working with large-scale distributed systems, or prior startup experience in fast-paced environments would be highly advantageous.
