The Payments team, in particular, focuses on creating simple, seamless, and secure payment experiences, powering both consumer technologies like Google Pay and the financial transactions within Google's ecosystem.

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance robust software solutions, managing project priorities and deadlines.

Write high-quality product or system development code, ensuring adherence to best practices through code reviews and constructive feedback.

Actively participate in or lead design reviews, collaborating with peers and stakeholders to select optimal technologies. Contribute to and update product documentation and educational content, adapting to program changes and user input.

Effectively triage and debug system issues, analyzing root causes and their impact on operations and quality.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Possess at least 2 years of experience in JAVA software development. Alternatively, 1 year of experience is acceptable with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Additionally, 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms, and experience developing accessible technologies are highly valued.
