The Payments team at Google is dedicated to making online and in-store payments simple, seamless, and secure. We are looking for engineers who bring fresh perspectives and can tackle complex challenges across the full technology stack, driving innovation in how users interact with information and conduct financial transactions.

Key responsibilities include developing robust product and system code, actively participating in and leading design reviews to select optimal technologies, and providing constructive code reviews to peers to uphold best practices.

You will also contribute to and update documentation, troubleshoot and resolve product or system issues by analyzing root causes and their impact, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality software solutions.

We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, coupled with at least 2 years of experience in JAVA software development, or 1 year of experience if holding an advanced degree. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.

Ideal candidates will possess 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms and a background in developing accessible technologies. The ability to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while demonstrating leadership qualities is essential.
