In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of software solutions, from initial design and development through testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

You will craft sophisticated network connectivity solutions for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, focusing on both data and control plane elements. A key part of your work will involve designing and implementing network virtualization for containerized and virtual machine workloads on Kubernetes platforms.

Further responsibilities include actively engaging with the open-source community to influence the trajectory of Kubernetes networking, advocating for the technologies you develop at industry events, and collaborating with users and the broader community in public forums. You will also be tasked with designing and implementing novel networking features to enhance our offerings.

To excel in this position, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is essential. Candidates should possess at least two years of professional software development experience in one or more programming languages, or one year of experience coupled with an advanced degree.

A foundational understanding of data structures and algorithms, demonstrated through two years of experience, is also required. We are looking for proficiency in working with technologies such as Kubernetes, Networking, Large-Scale Distributed Systems, Software Architecture, and System Architecture.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Additionally, two years of experience building networking components and products like load balancers, firewalls, NAT, SDN, switches/routers, CDNs, network protocols, or caching systems is highly advantageous. Experience developing accessible technologies is also a plus.
