Develop and write robust product or system development code.
Engage in and lead design reviews, collaborating with peers and stakeholders to select optimal technologies.
Perform thorough code reviews for fellow developers, providing constructive feedback to uphold best practices in coding, style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
Contribute to existing documentation and educational materials, adapting content based on product updates and user feedback.
Analyze, triage, and debug product or system issues, identifying root causes and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and overall quality.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required. You should possess 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience if you hold an advanced degree. Significant experience, specifically 2 years, working with embedded operating systems is essential.
Key technical proficiencies include experience with Kernel, Kernel Drivers, Networking, Device Drivers, and Debugging/Troubleshooting. We also value experience with data structures and algorithms, developing accessible technologies, and SmartNICs.
Deep expertise in the Linux kernel or network device drivers, coupled with strong knowledge of the Linux kernel's networking stack, is highly desirable. Proficiency in C/C++ and a keen eye for detail in executing multiple initiatives are crucial. Broad systems expertise for issue triage and debugging, a genuine interest in system troubleshooting, and a passion for end-to-end functionality are important. A generalist software engineering perspective, encompassing program management and process improvements, is also valued.
