This role is part of our Quality Engineering team, focusing on creating an environment where delivery teams achieve exceptional time-to-market and customer satisfaction. Unlike traditional testing roles, this position demands strong software development skills to collaborate with developers on test automation, infrastructure, and code analysis. You will champion Quality Engineering best practices and ensure applications and solutions meet the diverse needs of consumers, merchants, issuers, and governments.

Play a pivotal role in enhancing product quality and delivery. Collaborate closely with development teams to refine and improve existing software development processes. Drive the adoption of Quality Engineering methodologies to build robust, high-quality software. Partner with developers to streamline and automate testing and release workflows. Foster a culture where quality is an intrinsic part of the entire development lifecycle.

You should possess a solid foundation in software engineering with a passion for innovative technology. The ability to strategize testing and define acceptance criteria is essential, always considering end-customer needs for functionality, performance, and user experience. This hands-on role requires coding proficiency to identify and resolve software defects, ensuring maximum stability and quality. A proactive approach to driving quality automation and a self-service culture within software delivery practices is highly valued. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with engineers, program managers, and product managers are also key.

Must-have skills include Java, Selenium WebDriver, RESTful services, JSON, and XML. Proficiency with unit testing frameworks like Junit and Git-based version control systems such as Bitbucket is required. Experience with testing frameworks like TestNG and Spock, as well as integrating with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins/Bamboo) and code coverage tools (Sonar), is essential. You should also have experience with Linux, shell scripting, and Agile methodologies. Working collaboratively with developers to ensure systems are designed for reliability, performance, and testability is crucial. Exposure to cloud-based applications and SQL (Oracle DB) is also necessary.
