This role focuses on creating cutting-edge solutions for our Core Payments teams, demanding proficiency in mainframe technologies. You'll be instrumental in driving project success, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams.

As a Software Engineer II (Mainframe Developer), you will analyze and develop sophisticated solutions for Core Payments. Key responsibilities include hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, PROC, Microfocus COBOL, TWS Scheduler, and DB2 LUW.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project success, develop project schedules, and meticulously track deliverables. A significant part of the role involves designing and developing high-performance software that meets critical business requirements, maintaining and presenting project metrics, and acting as a technical lead to propose innovative solutions. You will also spearhead automation, defect metrics, and overall quality initiatives, while effectively managing coordination between globally distributed teams.

Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in batch and online mainframe development, along with a strong understanding of CI/CD practices. Familiarity with Java/J2EE and Springboot is considered a significant advantage. You should be a results-oriented individual with proven automation experience and a commitment to code quality.

Demonstrated ability to guide and mentor junior talent is essential, coupled with strong communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts and implement the right solutions. Experience within the payment and cards industry and participation in full lifecycle development projects using Agile methodologies are highly valued. A deep understanding of Payment and Cards industry is crucial for this role.
