Within the Core team, you will develop the essential technical foundation for Google’s flagship products. You'll own and advocate for design elements, developer platforms, product components, and critical infrastructure. Your work will empower the creation of excellent, safe, and coherent user experiences and accelerate innovation for all developers.

This role involves writing and reviewing product or system development code, providing constructive feedback to peers to ensure best practices in areas like code style, testing, and efficiency. You will also contribute to documentation and educational content, adapting it based on product updates and user feedback. Crucially, you'll triage and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their root causes and impact on hardware, network, or service operations.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required. You'll need one year of experience in software development using programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. Proficiency in data structures and algorithms is essential, alongside one year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Experience developing accessible technologies is beneficial. Expertise in backend coding languages like GOLang, Rust, or Java, and experience with ML model coding languages such as Python, would be advantageous.
