As a Software Engineer II on the Google Distributed Cloud VM team, you will design and develop features for effective deployment and operation of air-gapped environments. You'll review design documents and code, offering constructive feedback to ensure adherence to best practices.

Collaborate closely with partner teams to accelerate platform development. Work alongside fellow engineers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to deliver high-quality systems. Contribute to documentation and educational content, adapting it based on product updates and user feedback. You will also triage, debug, track, and resolve system issues, analyzing their impact on hardware, network, or service operations, leveraging AI for enhanced efficiency.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required. We are looking for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++. A strong foundation in data structures and algorithms is also essential.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. Experience with Go programming, Kubernetes or other container orchestration frameworks, and Cloud platforms like GCP would be highly advantageous.
