Key responsibilities involve the full lifecycle of designing and building Azure service features. This includes prototyping, developing resource providers, creating Azure portal extensions, building data plane integrations, addressing live site issues, and ensuring security compliance. You'll gain experience across the entire stack while developing new Azure services. All engineers are expected to produce high-quality code and manage the end-to-end test and DevOps lifecycle, building components that meet stringent security, privacy, reliability, compliance, and performance standards.

A Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Candidates must possess at least 4 years of professional experience in software development, utilizing modern programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, Go, or Python. Strong capabilities in software design, coding, and problem-solving are essential. A deep-seated customer obsession and a passion for delivering high-quality products are paramount. The role demands self-driven individuals capable of independent work and navigating ambiguity, complemented by excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications include experience in Linux environments and/or with open-source projects. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP, and experience supporting live site services are advantageous. Expertise with Docker and DevOps tools and processes, as well as experience with resource providers, the Azure portal, and Azure security/compliance, would be a significant asset.
