This role involves identifying and solving complex business and technical challenges, leveraging AI as a collaborative partner to drive innovation and explore alternative solutions. You will design, develop, and deploy solutions to enhance experiences for Microsoft's Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) and Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) businesses, utilizing AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development while maintaining high standards of quality and security.

Contribute to AI Native Engineering practices and enrich organizational knowledge bases to empower copilots and agents for more effective outcomes. Analyze telemetry data to resolve immediate issues and identify long-term solutions, employing AI/ML for anomaly detection and rapid root-cause analysis. Collaborate with peer teams to extend services and experiences for broader impact.

You will be instrumental in designing, building, and integrating AI-powered capabilities, including copilots, agents, and generative AI features, into our products. This includes applying prompt engineering, grounding, and RAG techniques to ensure reliable and high-quality results. A key aspect of this role is championing Responsible AI, using systematic evaluations to ensure solutions are safe, secure, grounded, and trustworthy.

We are seeking candidates with robust development experience using Azure resources and services, alongside a strong understanding of VSO, Git, and modern engineering practices. Proficiency in Agile development methodology is essential.

While hands-on experience with React or other JavaScript frameworks is a plus, strong experience with the Microsoft technology stack and/or other languages such as .NET framework, ASP.NET, C#, PowerShell, and SQL is highly valued. The ability to derive insights from App Insights and Kusto is also important.

Crucially, you should have hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and coding agents, applying them to design, write, test, and review code. Prior exposure to AI Native Engineering—building with LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, and RAG—is strongly preferred. Familiarity with the Azure AI platform, including Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Foundry, as well as knowledge of Responsible AI principles and AI evaluation practices, are considered advantages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is expected.
