Join Mastercard's Operations & Technology Fraud Products team as a Software Engineer II (Backend Developer). You will develop innovative capabilities for the Decision Management Platform, a crucial system for combating fraud and verifying cardholder identity. Plan, design, and develop innovative technical solutions that align with Mastercard's standards, processes, and best practices. Lead daily system development and maintenance activities to meet service level agreements (SLAs), focusing on high quality, cost-effectiveness, and rapid market entry.

Take ownership of the entire systems development lifecycle, producing high-quality requirements documents, use cases, designs, and comprehensive technical artifacts. This includes detailed test strategies, performance benchmarking, release and deployment plans, contingency measures, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and detailed estimations.

Participate actively in Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and contribute to the selection of vendor solutions, technologies, methodologies, and frameworks. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on emerging technologies and frameworks, facilitating knowledge transfer to Mastercard staff and providing technical guidance to team members.

Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing standards and improving process efficiency. Mentor and guide colleagues throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Ensure thorough test coverage across Unit, System, Integration, and Performance Testing. Conduct rigorous Quality Inspections and Walkthroughs, including Requirements, Design, Code, and Security Reviews, to ensure adherence to Mastercard standards.

Experience writing unit tests using Junit and Mockito, working with JBoss and/or Apache Tomcat, and proficiency with Git are also crucial. Desirable skills include experience with containerized environments like Kubernetes, OpenShift, or CloudFoundry, integration frameworks such as Apache Camel or Spring Integration, and familiarity with monitoring service performance.
