Key responsibilities include defining and implementing metrics and measurement workflows for reliability and performance. You will design, build, and operate robust backend services and data pipelines for telemetry ingestion and processing. Improving engineering practices for service reliability, security, and data quality is essential. Analyzing large-scale telemetry and diagnostic signals to identify trends and customer impact is a core function. You will also investigate metric movements and service issues, translating findings into actionable engineering steps.
Develop automation, AI-assisted analysis tools, dashboards, and diagnostic workflows to proactively detect issues. Contribute to technical designs and code reviews, collaborate with partner teams, and mentor junior engineers.
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with at least 3 years of technical engineering experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python is required.
Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in backend service development, data engineering, distributed systems, large-scale analytics, or systems analysis. Experience developing, testing, and operating production software, services, or data pipelines is highly valued. Strong programming, debugging, data analysis, and problem-solving skills are essential for independently executing tasks.
Familiarity with distributed services, cloud platforms like Azure, operating systems, performance engineering, or fleet analytics is beneficial. Experience with telemetry schemas, anomaly detection, AI-assisted workflows, and specific tools like Kusto, WinDbg, or Windows Performance Analyzer is a plus.
