As a Software Engineer II within the Data Integration team, you will contribute to Power Query and Dataflows, enabling organizations to seamlessly connect, transform, and integrate data across their entire estate.

Leverage AI tools across the SDLC, taking ownership of AI-generated code changes with minimal guidance. Create and implement extensible, maintainable code, considering diagnosability, reliability, and defect prevention. Apply best practices and coding patterns, including GenAI approaches, and escalate blockers impacting timelines.
Develop comprehensive test strategies to ensure solution quality and prevent regressions, incorporating security testing. Enhance test coverage, improve test reliability, and ensure code testability during the design phase. Utilize AI for test automation and maintain an up-to-date understanding of testing architectures.
Participate in on-call rotations, maintaining live site service operations and responding to issues securely and efficiently. Identify and implement solutions for performance or functionality issues, escalating complex problems as needed. Improve troubleshooting guides, wikis, and telemetry to enhance the on-call experience. Contribute to secure operations, security monitoring, and live site investigation activities, proposing opportunities for live site experience improvement.
Required: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with 4+ years of technical engineering experience involving coding in languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent PowerShell experience.
Preferred: A Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 5+ years of technical engineering experience, including languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, which is required upon hire and every two years thereafter.
