As a Software Engineer II within our Corporate Solutions team, you will leverage modern software engineering practices. Your work will involve Java microservices, event-driven architectures, data platforms, analytics, and cloud-native technologies. You'll be instrumental in building scalable enterprise solutions designed to streamline and optimize global payment processes.
Contribute to the end-to-end lifecycle of scalable microservices and APIs, from design and development through testing and deployment. Develop robust Java and Spring Boot services, integrating them seamlessly with enterprise platforms. Construct and maintain event-driven solutions utilizing Apache Kafka. Design, develop, and optimize Oracle database solutions, including advanced SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning. Support reporting and analytics initiatives by integrating with Power BI and other business intelligence platforms. Build, maintain, and optimize critical data pipelines, APIs, and integrations that underpin analytics and reporting. Collaborate effectively with product, analytics, and business teams to deliver actionable insights. Ensure the delivery of secure, high-quality, and maintainable software operating at enterprise scale. Actively participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to cloud-native development principles and 12-factor application design. Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience is necessary. Demonstrate strong hands-on proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture. Possess experience in building event-driven applications using Apache Kafka. Exhibit strong Oracle database development skills, including SQL, PL/SQL, query optimization, and data modeling. Experience with cloud deployment platforms such as PCF, Kubernetes, or Docker is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices is required. Experience integrating data solutions with reporting and analytics platforms like Power BI is necessary. Basic understanding of AI-powered engineering tools like GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT is beneficial. Possess a solid understanding of software scalability, reliability, performance, and security best practices. Prior experience working in Agile development environments is important. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are a must.
