The Account Solutions team provides value-added services for payment transactions, including authorization and clearing functions. We are seeking a Senior Business Operations Engineer to enhance our CI/CD pipeline, drive DevOps automation, and champion best practices within Mastercard.

As a Senior BizOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring production readiness for our platform. This involves close collaboration with development teams to design, build, implement, and support technology services. You will guarantee operational criteria such as system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self-healing, and deployment automation are integrated throughout the delivery lifecycle. Your role will be key in leading Mastercard's DevOps transformation through advanced tooling and advocating for change and standards across development, quality, release, and product organizations.

Key responsibilities include: - Engaging in and refining the entire service lifecycle, from conception and design to deployment, operation, and improvement. - Analyzing ITSM activities to provide feedback on operational gaps and resiliency concerns to development teams. - Supporting services prior to launch through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews. - Maintaining live services by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health. - Promoting sustainable system scaling via automation and driving improvements in reliability and velocity. - Supporting the application CI/CD pipeline, ensuring validation and operational gating for software promotion to higher environments, and leading DevOps automation initiatives. - Practicing sustainable incident response and conducting blameless postmortems. - Employing a holistic problem-solving approach to optimize mean time to recovery during production events. - Collaborating with a global team across multiple geographies and time zones. - Sharing knowledge and mentoring junior team members.

We are looking for a driven problem-solver with a passion for automation and a keen understanding of CI/CD principles. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.

Essential qualifications include: - Proficiency in Java, Unix, and SQL (DB2/Oracle). - Solid experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design. - A systematic approach to problem-solving, combined with strong communication skills, ownership, and drive. - Ability to debug and optimize code, and automate routine tasks. - Experience in handling challenging situations and making urgent decisions. - A strong interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. - Enthusiasm for embracing change and pushing the boundaries of automation. - Demonstrated experience collaborating with development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and build relationships. - Hands-on experience with industry-standard CI/CD tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef. Experience designing and implementing efficient CI/CD flows is highly desired.
