This role is for an experienced Software Engineer II specializing in Java development and microservices architecture. You will independently develop scalable, cloud-ready applications, significantly contributing to software design, architecture, operational excellence, and production support. As a Software Engineer II, you will translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions, designing robust software components. You will actively contribute to software architecture decisions and technical design discussions, building modular, extensible, and maintainable applications. Emphasis will be placed on designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive tests, including unit, functional, and integration tests, while applying secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.

You will participate in code reviews, uphold engineering quality standards, and support system performance optimization, scalability, and reliability initiatives. Applications will be designed with a focus on observability, operational readiness, and supportability. This role involves researching new technologies, participating in proof-of-concepts, and troubleshooting production issues with structured root cause analysis. You will support applications throughout their lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful business solutions.

We are seeking a Software Engineer II with a strong foundation in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka, RESTful Web Services, and JPA. Experience in developing cloud-ready applications and microservices is essential, alongside a solid understanding of software architecture and design principles. Candidates should possess experience with automated, unit, and integration testing, coupled with familiarity in performance optimization and scalability concepts.

Proficiency in secure software development practices and experience participating in code reviews are required. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills are paramount. Exposure to CI/CD and Test-Driven Development practices is beneficial. Experience or exposure to AI-assisted applications, autonomous agents, or agentic workflows is a plus.
