The Data Integration team within Microsoft Fabric empowers organizations to seamlessly connect, move, and shape data across their entire landscape. We simplify the ingestion, transformation, and preparation of data, ensuring it's trusted, usable, and ready to drive analytics, real-time insights, and AI scenarios.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to a next-generation service that efficiently transfers large data volumes with minimal latency, offering a data-centric orchestration platform. The role emphasizes advanced data movement and replication while maintaining user-friendly interfaces. Collaboration and a fast-paced environment are key.
Contribute to the development of cloud-scale products focused on efficiency, reliability, and security. Build and maintain comprehensive Build, Test, and Deployment pipelines. Manage and deploy large-scale Hadoop, Spark, and other clusters. Play a key role in the architecture and design of our products. Address and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customers and business operations through root cause analysis and post-mortems. Take ownership of components from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment, and ensuring high availability post-deployment.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with at least 4 years of technical engineering experience, including proficiency in coding languages such as C#, Java, React, or Python. Equivalent experience will also be considered. Mandatory experience in data integration, migrations, ELT, or ETL tooling.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 4+ years of experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Alternatively, a Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 4+ years of relevant engineering experience and coding proficiency in the aforementioned languages, or equivalent experience, is highly valued.
This role requires the ability to meet specific Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud Background Check, which will be conducted upon hire and biennially thereafter.
