This Software Engineer position is integral to our globally distributed delivery model, collaborating closely with onshore teams to ensure the continuous operation and enhancement of mission-critical, high-availability payment platforms. You will operate within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework, contributing significantly to the stability and evolution of our key systems.

As a Software Engineer, you will actively participate in Agile delivery using the SAFe Framework, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and continuous improvement within a Scrum team. You'll foster strong collaboration with onshore engineering teams to deliver features, resolve defects, and ensure seamless integration throughout the development lifecycle.

Your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining solutions across a diverse technology stack. You will also be responsible for production support, ensuring the performance, resilience, and adherence to enterprise standards of critical live systems. A key aspect of this position is driving continuous improvement by contributing to engineering best practices, automation, and process enhancements to elevate delivery efficiency and quality.

We seek a technically adept and collaborative Software Engineer, comfortable in a complex, enterprise-scale environment. Essential qualifications include proven experience in Java-based backend development and proficiency with relational databases like Oracle. Experience with the Spring Boot framework and familiarity with TDD/BDD testing methodologies are required.

Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular and JavaScript, along with SQL scripting and data handling capabilities, is necessary. Exposure to DevOps tooling and experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, ideally SAFe, are important. You should possess strong problem-solving skills, a sense of ownership, and the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams.

Desirable experience includes working with REST, Messaging, and Event-Driven frameworks, knowledge of security mechanisms, exposure to payment systems or financial services, and experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability platforms.
