Our Payments Network Technology team is searching for a Software Engineer in Test to enhance our payment processing platforms. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining sophisticated automation solutions, focusing on scalable test frameworks and automated validation across various payment transaction flows.
Design, develop, and maintain reusable automation frameworks utilizing Java and contemporary test automation tools. Construct automated test suites for functional, API, integration, regression, and UI testing. Develop automated validation for ISO 8583 messages, authorization, clearing, tokenization, and comprehensive payment processing workflows. Translate business requirements and user stories into effective automated test coverage and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality gates are met. Analyze failures, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with software engineers to drive resolutions, while managing test data, environments, and automation assets for reliable execution. Continuously improve automation coverage, framework capabilities, and overall engineering efficiency.
We seek a candidate with strong programming proficiency in Java, coupled with experience in developing automation frameworks and test utilities. Essential hands-on experience includes using tools like Cucumber, Selenium, Karate, JUnit/TestNG, or Rest Assured. Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, web applications, and database-driven systems is required, alongside knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software development methodologies. Proficiency in SQL and test data management is necessary. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is expected. A passion for software quality, automation, and continuous improvement is key, as is experience working in Agile environments across the software development lifecycle. Strong communication, collaboration, debugging, and problem-solving skills are vital for effective work with globally distributed teams. Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Claude CLI, is a plus. Familiarity with payments or financial services is preferred.
