As a Software Engineer II, you will be instrumental in driving end-to-end delivery, fostering collaboration across engineering and product teams, making key design decisions, and building secure, reliable, and maintainable services with strong monitoring and operational excellence. Partner closely with stakeholders to define user requirements, utilizing feedback channels to inform future designs and product roadmaps. Establish continuous feedback loops to assess customer value and usage patterns.

Lead product design discussions, develop and refine code plans, and propose innovative design solutions. Provide critical input to architects and assume ownership of design decisions. Mentor team members in creating design documents and User Stories, selecting appropriate technologies, and ensuring system architecture aligns with security and compliance standards.

Demonstrate leadership in developing high-quality, reliable code that meets Microsoft's stringent standards and is suitable for large-scale applications. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with a minimum of 7 years of technical engineering experience involving coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, is required. Alternatively, equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 8+ years of technical engineering experience in coding with languages like C#, Java, or similar OOP languages. Experience managing large, geo-distributed software engineering projects, breaking them into team deliverables, leading them to quality completion, and collaborating with global engineering partners is highly valued.

Additional preferred experience encompasses building, delivering, and operating reliable, highly available services at scale within large or complex organizations. Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving, coding, and debugging is essential. Prior experience with cloud infrastructure, leveraging cutting-edge AI advancements, and driving innovation in this or similar domains is beneficial. A proven ability to mentor team members, providing guidance for technical growth and enhancing team performance, is also sought.
