This role focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of data pipelines and processing systems. You will be instrumental in maintaining system health, diagnosing issues, and implementing recovery actions to guarantee data integrity and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities include diligently monitoring data pipelines, scheduled jobs, DAGs, and processing alerts. You will perform initial diagnostics on any processing failures, delays, or data staleness. This involves reviewing task statuses, logs, dependencies, and executing approved reruns or recovery steps.

Further duties encompass validating database and API connectivity, gathering technical evidence, and performing basic data validation using SQL. You will also monitor data quality and freshness indicators, escalating anomalies as needed. Maintaining incident records and shift handoffs in ServiceNow, and escalating complex issues to higher support tiers, are also core functions.

We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at managing and troubleshooting complex data operations. Familiarity with database health monitoring and scheduled job oversight is essential.

Essential skills include experience with SQL, Python, and general data pipeline monitoring. A solid understanding of troubleshooting data-related issues is critical for this role. While not strictly mandatory, secondary skills in areas like Airflow, GCP Data Services, and various monitoring tools would be highly beneficial.
