Lead a dynamic software engineering team as a Software Development Manager in WWGST, Store Acceleration Tech. You will gain a deep understanding of our business and collaborate with distributed development teams, taking ownership of software system architecture and end-to-end delivery. As a key leader in our new Bangalore development center, you'll be instrumental in managing a high-performing engineering team, attracting top talent, and fostering a culture aligned with our leadership values. This role involves leading engineers who support a broad range of enterprise clients, requiring a strategic outlook from both business and technical viewpoints. The ideal candidate will excel at balancing system stability with new development to meet growing scale and organizational vision.

You will manage a team of 8-10 engineers within SAT, driving diverse initiatives and enabling long-term technical solutions.

Take ownership of roadmap execution for your technical domain, working closely with Product Management and customers.

Drive innovation and the vision for next-generation solutions in collaboration with Senior Software Development Engineers and Principal Engineers.

Cultivate the growth of your reporting engineers through structured performance management and career development plans.

Solve complex engineering challenges by owning critical systems that ensure autonomous store operations.

Build highly scalable systems capable of handling billions of transactions.

Influence architectural evolution in the supply chain and technical decisions across multiple organizations.

A Bachelor's degree is required.

We seek at least 3 years of experience in engineering team management and a minimum of 7 years in engineering roles.

Demonstrated experience of 8+ years in leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services is essential.

A strong understanding of full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle engineering practices and patterns, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations is necessary.

Proven ability to partner effectively with product or program management teams is expected.

Experience communicating requirements, product features, technical designs, and strategy to users, technical teams, and senior leadership is a plus.

Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineers to enhance their skills and effectiveness is preferred.
