We are building cutting-edge capabilities to detect sophisticated non-human traffic and fraudulent engagement patterns. Our work safeguards hundreds of millions in advertiser spend annually while ensuring a seamless user experience. We leverage advanced techniques in deep learning, user behavior analysis, and anomaly detection to stay ahead of adversarial actors and set industry-leading traffic quality standards.
Define and execute a forward-thinking engineering vision for traffic quality initiatives, driven by customer and stakeholder needs. Translate strategic direction into actionable team plans, interpreting complex data to articulate this vision effectively.
Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle for production-level code handling billions of ad requests. This includes ideation, design, prototyping, impact assessment, A/B testing, and deployment.
Collaborate closely with scientists, product managers, and other teams within Amazon Advertising to devise technical solutions for intricate invalid traffic detection challenges. Engage with industry bodies and third-party vendors to foster and enhance partnerships.
Drive improvements in existing systems for greater operational efficiency and reduced footprint. Cultivate a sustainable team culture that embodies Amazon's leadership principles, coaching team members to reach their full potential and recruiting top-tier talent.
A minimum of 7 years of dedicated engineering experience.
At least 3 years of experience in managing engineering teams.
Over 8 years of proven experience in defining and developing multi-tier web services.
Solid understanding of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
Demonstrated experience in partnering effectively with product or program management teams.
Experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
