As a Software Development Manager, you'll drive a multi-year technical strategy, foster engineering excellence, and collaborate with product and operations teams to deliver impactful solutions for Amazon's workforce. Tackle unique challenges in pay policy computation, sub-second latency, and massive transaction processing.

- Define and execute the technical vision and architecture for time-off management and pay policy execution systems. - Build, coach, and retain a high-performing engineering team. - Elevate engineering practices, including code quality, design reviews, testing, and CI/CD. - Ensure operational excellence for pay-critical systems through robust monitoring and post-mortem analysis. - Partner with product, payroll, and compliance stakeholders to prioritize the roadmap, balancing new features, tech debt, and operational improvements. - Drive cross-team collaboration and remove impediments across various Amazon teams for seamless time-to-pay pipeline delivery.

- Minimum of 7 years in software engineering. - At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams. - 8+ years leading the development of multi-tier web services. - Profound knowledge of software development lifecycle engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and live-site operations. - Proven experience collaborating with product or program management teams.
