- Guide and manage a software engineering team tasked with creating and scaling extensive distributed systems for Amazon Music's streaming and purchasing functions. - Establish the technical vision and architecture for systems serving a vast customer base across Amazon's website, mobile applications, Kindle, Fire TV, and web clients. - Champion operational excellence by implementing advanced engineering practices, defining on-call strategies, and ensuring service high availability and reliability. - Collaborate with product management and cross-functional engineering teams to transform business needs into actionable technical roadmaps and project deliverables. - Foster the growth of engineering talent through consistent 1:1s, career development guidance, and performance evaluations. - Oversee the complete project lifecycle from conception to deployment, ensuring superior quality, scalability, and positive customer outcomes. - Shape organizational strategy by working with senior Amazon Music leadership to align on objectives and priorities. - Cultivate an environment of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team experimentation and raising customer experience standards. - Exercise sound technical and business judgment, balancing immediate delivery requirements with long-term architectural planning. - Recruit and hire exceptional engineering talent to build a high-performing and diverse team.

- Possess a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience. - Have at least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams. - Demonstrate 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services. - Exhibit knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations. - Proven experience partnering with product or program management teams. - Showcase experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.

Preferred Qualifications: - Experience communicating effectively with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, explain features, technical designs, and product strategy. - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing Software Engineers to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
