Lead the technical vision and strategic direction for your team, focusing on Kindle content security. Navigate ambiguity with strong judgment and data-driven decisions. Guide a team of skilled engineers through the design, development, and launch of high-impact projects. Collaborate with stakeholders across business and product management to define roadmaps and execute plans. Champion the team's adoption of GenAI transformation within the SDLC.
Key duties include overseeing the full systems development lifecycle, managing project execution, directing daily engineering activities in an Agile/Scrum framework, fostering team growth through staffing and mentorship, reporting on development status, and architecting robust technical solutions.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree is required, complemented by at least 9 years of engineering experience and 3 years in engineering team management. A strong understanding of full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle practices, including coding standards, reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and operations, is essential. Proven experience partnering with product or program management teams and strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities, are necessary.
Preferred qualifications include experience communicating requirements and designs to users, technical teams, and leadership. A track record of recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and developing software engineers is highly valued. Deep technical knowledge and a history of delivering large, complex, customer-facing products are crucial. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment, managing multiple priorities, are key.
