The Value Added Services (VAS) team, also known as Amazon Home Services (AHS), is building a global platform in Hyderabad, India. This platform seamlessly integrates professional services, including home improvement, installation, and maintenance, with product purchases. We are creating a unique ecosystem that connects qualified service professionals with customers while upholding the highest standards of trust, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering their professional growth and driving technical excellence.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to define and execute the product roadmap.

Utilize data to make informed decisions, continuously enhancing the user experience.

Champion best practices in software development, covering code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

Represent the team in discussions with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Strategically balance short-term project deliverables with long-term organizational goals.

Innovate by leveraging advanced technologies like Generative AI and other emerging tools to benefit customers.

Proactively identify opportunities to simplify complex processes and boost user productivity.

Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.

Have at least 7 years of overall engineering experience.

Demonstrate 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.

Showcase a strong understanding of engineering practices and patterns across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.

Experience partnering with product or program management teams is essential.

A Bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field is required.
