This role offers the opportunity to build scalable cloud backends, optimize low-latency interactions on constrained hardware, and integrate advanced AI/ML capabilities, contributing to the forefront of technological innovation.

Lead and mentor a team of Software Development Engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement across the mobile-cloud stack.

Drive end-to-end feature delivery and platform capabilities for Amazon's Personal Devices, including smart eyewear and emerging wearables.

Define technical strategy and architecture for mobile applications (Android, iOS, React Native) and cloud services, ensuring high scalability, reliability, and performance.

Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features from concept to launch.

Uphold rigorous engineering standards through design reviews, code quality, and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Proactively identify and resolve technical risks and complex issues across device, mobile, and cloud layers.

Recruit, hire, and develop top engineering talent, building a diverse and high-performing team aligned with Amazon's Leadership Principles.

Communicate team progress, technical direction, and strategic priorities effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap of EDS, influencing the future of wearable and personal device technology.

A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is required.

Possess at least 3 years of experience in engineering team management.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Development, or a related occupational field.

Demonstrate knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.

Proven experience partnering effectively with product or program management teams.

Hands-on experience designing and building mobile applications for Android or iOS devices, or experience designing and building scalable cloud services.
