As an SDM on the App Publishing Experience team, you will lead systems that enable instant app publishing, reducing latency and shaping future publishing experiences. You will be instrumental in the technical leadership of Amazon Appstore's development center in India, influencing product architecture and building high-performing teams.

This role involves leading innovations for app publishing, from binary processing to distribution across numerous device types. You will also spearhead AI-native development initiatives and contribute to the roadmap for next-generation publishing features on emerging Amazon devices.

Lead the team focused on developer experience for Fire OS and Vega OS across TVs, Tablets, and multi-modal devices. Build and maintain robust APIs that facilitate seamless app publishing and distribution to millions of customers on hundreds of devices. Drive AI-native PODs to enhance development velocity and foster a culture of transformation. Ensure technical excellence and 99.99% reliability in critical app publishing workflows. Collaborate effectively with Product Management, Business Intelligence, Developer Relations, and external developers. Mentor and develop a team of over 10 engineers skilled in distributed systems at Amazon scale. Define the technical roadmap for advanced experiences on new Amazon devices. Address complex challenges spanning scale, security, compliance, and user experience.

A minimum of 7 years in engineering, including over 3 years of engineering team management. Possess at least 8 years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services. Demonstrated knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations. Proven experience partnering with product or program management teams. Experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including patterns, reliability, and scaling. Familiarity with communicating requirements, technical designs, and product strategy to users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
