- Lead and cultivate a high-performing software development team, defining technical strategy and team structure to achieve a multi-year roadmap for post-purchase experiences across Alexa. - Architect and implement scalable, low-latency distributed services crucial for real-time tracking and proactive notifications for millions of users. - Collaborate closely with product management, applied science, and peer engineering teams to prioritize features, manage dependencies, and deliver seamless post-purchase journeys. - Establish robust operational metrics and quality standards to monitor customer experience, system health, and team velocity, using data for continuous improvement and roadmap adjustments. - Mentor and develop engineers at various career stages, fostering individual growth plans, providing constructive feedback, and cultivating an inclusive team culture.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering team management. - A minimum of 7 years working directly within engineering teams. - At least 3 years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on patterns, reliability, and scaling. - Over 8 years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services. - Profound knowledge of software development lifecycle engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and live-site operations. - Proven experience partnering effectively with product or program management teams. - A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science is preferred. - Preferred experience includes communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership for requirements gathering and product strategy. - Demonstrated experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing Software Engineers to enhance their skills and effectiveness. - 3+ years of experience in distributed system management is advantageous. - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for seamless stakeholder interaction.
