This role is within the broader Alexa Core Experiences organization, and we are seeking a dynamic leader for our Hyderabad office. You will play a crucial part in shaping how millions of users interact with Alexa worldwide.

As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of their work. You will be instrumental in making key technical decisions, from software architecture to ensuring operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring features scale effectively across diverse languages and the wide array of devices Alexa supports. You will foster an environment of innovation and technical excellence within your team.

A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience is required, with at least 3 years focused on engineering team management. You should also possess 8+ years of experience in defining and developing multi-tier web services.

We expect a strong understanding of engineering practices across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and livesite operations. Experience partnering with product or program management teams, and designing/architecting scalable systems is essential.
