This role is critical for enhancing the customer and vendor experience in External Fulfillment globally. You will lead a team responsible for developing and maintaining highly scalable and available web services and systems central to our External Fulfillment technology offerings. These services are vital for supporting global EF business operations amidst complex, evolving demands and ensuring high availability.

As a Software Development Manager, you will collaborate with senior leaders in External Fulfillment to shape product technology strategy and define the roadmap.

You will be responsible for the high-quality execution of software products, meeting project timelines and delivery commitments. This includes architecting and developing robust technical designs that prioritize extensibility, reliability, and scalability.

Building and nurturing a high-performing software development organization through effective hiring, mentoring, and growth opportunities for your team is key. You will also own all operational metrics and provide necessary support.

Furthermore, you will engage directly with development teams across Bellevue, Toronto, Bangalore, and globally on collaborative projects and dependent deliverables.

A strong understanding of engineering practices and patterns across the full software, hardware, and networks development lifecycle is essential. This includes proficiency in coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.

Proven experience in engineering team management is required, alongside a solid background in engineering and a track record of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.

Experience in partnering effectively with product and program management teams to achieve strategic goals is also a prerequisite. While not strictly required, experience in communicating effectively with users, technical teams, and senior leadership regarding requirements, product features, technical designs, and strategy is highly valued. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing software engineering teams to enhance their skills and effectiveness is a significant advantage.
