The WWR&R team encompasses business, product, operations, program, software engineering, and data specialists who manage the entire lifecycle of returned or damaged products. Our work is diverse, involving machine learning for routing optimization, developing new channels for product repurposing, enhancing product support, piloting advanced product evaluations, and continually improving the customer returns process. We maintain a keen focus on business scrutiny and customer-centricity.

As a Software Development Engineer on the WWR&R team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, documenting, and supporting massively scalable, distributed real-time systems. You will leverage C++, Java, object-oriented design principles, and distributed databases to build software solutions that address complex and evolving business needs. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key initiatives supporting our rapid growth and solve challenging problems within a dynamic environment. You will also provide technical leadership, champion best practices, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvements in engineering excellence.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including aspects like design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Proficiency in at least one programming language is essential. Preferred qualifications include 4+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is highly desirable.
