Join the Loss Prevention Tech team as a Software Development Engineer and leverage your passion for software innovation to tackle complex, multi-billion dollar retail challenges. This role offers a high-visibility opportunity to design and develop cutting-edge software products, including those utilizing machine learning models.
If you're driven by solving intricate problems, thrive in a supportive and growth-oriented environment, and possess strong leadership qualities, this position is an excellent fit. You'll be instrumental in building scalable, intelligent systems that enhance global investigations and optimize loss prevention workflows.
Key responsibilities include defining system architecture, documenting designs, and breaking down work for implementation. You will also be responsible for technical problem-solving, meeting product objectives, and developing best practices.
Further duties involve writing high-quality, efficient, and testable code in a modern object-oriented language, mentoring fellow developers, and contributing to all phases of the Scrum team's work. You'll own the end-to-end architecture of large-scale projects, participate in an on-call rotation, track performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues while ensuring compliance with InfoSec standards.
A minimum of 3 years of programming experience in a modern language like Java, C++, or C# is required, including expertise in object-oriented design. Candidates must also possess 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
While a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, practical experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations, is essential. We encourage individuals with diverse backgrounds and skillsets to apply.
