The Loss Prevention Tech team develops global, scalable products for our field LP, security, and operations teams. Our mission is to create intelligent systems, intuitive web interfaces, and robust analytics that drive investigations, identify trends, and optimize loss prevention workflows to combat organized retail crime.
Collaborate on system architecture, document designs, and break down complex tasks for team implementation. Quickly learn and integrate new technologies, such as Large Language Models (LLMs). Drive technical problem-solving, achieve product objectives, and establish best practices. Develop high-quality, efficient, and testable code in modern object-oriented languages. Provide mentorship and guidance to fellow developers. Contribute to all phases of the Scrum team's lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement. Own the end-to-end architecture for large-scale projects and participate in on-call rotations. Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure timely achievement of desired outcomes. Address errors, perform bug fixes, and resolve issue tickets efficiently. Ensure all developed programs adhere to Amazon's InfoSec standards.
Possess at least 3 years of programming experience using modern languages like Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design. Have 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling, excluding internship experience. Demonstrate proficiency in programming with at least one software programming language. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, along with experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
